A genius OAP built a DIY lift so that he could get up to his flat which sits on the fifth floor of a building.
Identified by locals as Uncle Wang, the man has sparked awe as well as safety concerns.
Footage shows Uncle Wang, who is in his 70s, sitting on the homemade lift which consists of a small booth attached to a cable.

The cable moves the booth upwards directly to the man’s room as the lift is attached to the side of the building.
For stability, Uncle Wang attached the cable to a streetlamp pole.
The elevator reportedly has a control panel with buttons.
According to residents, the man built the elevator by himself in 2020, as reported by Need To Know.
Local press have spoken to some of Uncle Wang’s neighbours.
“He often used electric drills to polish parts, and you’d see him maintaining it with tools even during use,” one neighbour said.
“It didn’t block anyone’s path, and cars passed freely underneath,” another resident named Mr Liu said.
“But whether it’s safe or not, I can’t say.”
It has been said that Uncle Wang spent over £700 to prepare and assemble the lift over the course of a year.
Due to noise concerns, he only operates the lift before 8pm.
The equipment used reportedly isn’t classified as special equipment under Chinese safety law.
Members of the public however recently reported Uncle Wang’s elevator amid safety worries.
Officials from the Market Supervision Bureau confirmed that the device fell outside of their regulatory scope.
On 3 June, Uncle Wang was forced to dismantle the elevator in Huludao, a city in Liaoning Province which is located in northeastern China bordering North Korea.
Staff at the local neighbourhood committee stated that it took some persuasion to get Uncle Wang to remove the lift.
A staff member added: “After persuasion from multiple departments, the elderly man dismantled the elevator for the safety of both himself and other residents.”
