A girl has died and a young footballer is in critical condition after a car crash on same day Liverpool star Diogo Jota’s fatal accident.
Ksawery Jeżewski, an academy player for Legia Warsaw and a Polish U17 international, was involved in the smash yesterday (3 July).
According to reports, Ksawery, 17, and his 18-year-old sister were travelling in a Toyota Yaris when it veered off the road for unknown reasons.

The vehicle then struck a tree.
Initial reports said the Toyota was not speeding at the time of the accident near the city of Płock located north-west of Warsaw, Poland.
Ksawery was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, as reported by Need To Know.

In a statement, Legia Warsaw’s youth academy said: “U17 player Ksawery Jeżewski is in hospital in serious condition after a tragic car accident in which his sister died.
“The board, club employees, colleagues and coaches from the academy express their deepest condolences to Ksawery’s parents and join them in their pain.
“We will provide all possible support to our player and his family.
“Ksawery, the entire club is with you.”
Liverpool and Portugal forward Jota and his brother André Silva both died in a car crash on Thursday (3 July).
The Lamborghini they were travelling in crashed in the Spanish province of Zamora.
