An unconscious driver had to be pulled out of a flame-engulfed car after a dramatic three-vehicle smash.
Brave officers ran directly towards the blaze before opening the door, cutting the motorist’s seatbelt and dragging her to safety.
Footage from a body-worn camera showed the vehicle engulfed in flames and smoke.

The officer dragged the woman’s body down the street and onto a nearby patch of grass.
It has been confirmed that the crash included three vehicles, as reported by Need To Know.
Officers heard the collision while answering an unrelated call across the street.
They immediately ran to assist while alerting dispatch and additional units to the severity of the crash.
Upon arriving, officers saw one of the vehicles on fire.
Inside was an unconscious driver, still buckled in.
Sarasota Police Department said: “Acting without hesitation, the officers opened the door, cut the seatbelt, and pulled the driver to safety, moments before the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.
“Their swift and selfless actions saved a life.
“A job well done by these officers who continue to serve with courage, commitment, and dedication to protecting others.”
The incident occurred on 30 June at 00:22 in Sarasota, US.
The crash remains under investigation and the condition of the rescued woman, as well as others involved, has not been confirmed.
