A mum-of-three died from a haemorrhage after posing for a photo with her newborn son.
Luiza Bănulescu gave birth to her third child in the hospital via a scheduled cesarean section.
But the 24-year-old never made it back home.

After giving birth, Luiza was able to hold her baby close to her chest and take some photos.
But about an hour after the delivery, doctors noticed severe bleeding.
Luiza’s condition deteriorated rapidly.

After three hours of unsuccessful attempts to stop the bleeding, doctors at the hospital in Novaci, Romania, decided to transfer her to another hospital in Târgu Jiu.
“Upon arrival, the patient was in a coma and on mechanical ventilation,” said Târgu Jiu County Hospital spokesperson Mihaela Țicleanu.
The doctors decided to transfer Luiza again, this time to a specialist clinic in Craiova, as reported by Need To Know.
Because her condition was critical, she should have been flown by helicopter.

But because of the bad weather, she had to be taken by ambulance.
Her husband, Claudiu Bănulescu, recalled: “They had the on-call doctor, but he couldn’t leave.
“They had to call a doctor from home, and that took about an hour.”
By the time she arrived at the third hospital, there was nothing the doctors could do for her.
Luiza’s husband told local media: “I’m going to file a complaint.
“How can it be right for a 24-year-old woman to die so suddenly, when she was healthy and all her tests were perfectly fine?”

An investigation is now underway at the first hospital to determine why the complication occurred.
Luiza lived in Roșia de Amaradia and also left behind two twin daughters, aged one and 11 months.
The date she died has not been reported, but the first local media reports about the tragic news emerged yesterday (10 Jul).
The newborn is still in the hospital, but his father, who has another child from his first marriage, is expected to be able to take him home soon.
Luiza will be laid to rest in Roșia de Amaradia on Sunday (13 Jul), following a post-mortem.
