The entire ground floor of the two-storey property was ablaze by the time fire crews arrived on the scene.
Flames had already started to engulf the second floor.

The homeowners were away at the time of the blaze, as reported by Need To Know.
Firefighters were informed that there were three dogs trapped on the upstairs balcony and firefighters considered their options.
Due to the extent of the blaze on the ground floor and risk of collapse, the crew decided to access the balcony from the side of the building.
Three firefighters were seen forming a human chain to lower the animals from the balcony to the roof of a side building before apparently taking them down the ladder.
The rescue took place at a house in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, yesterday (7 Aug).
The dogs were safely removed from the burning property and handed over to the owner’s neighbours to take care of until they organise temporary accommodation.
An investigation into the cause of the house fire is ongoing.
