A super fit grandma has revealed that she is on the hunt for her next lover – and men in their 20s are on her radar.
Lesley Maxwell is popular for her rock-hard abs and, despite being 65, says people mistake her 21-year-old granddaughter, Tia, for her sister.
The fitness fanatic, who is also a personal trainer, boasts 147,000 followers on Instagram and isn’t short of online attention.
But she admits that there’s one type of man she prefers above all others – young, fit guys in their 20s.
“Let’s be honest, I’m a grandmother, but I’m not slowing down,” Lesley told Need To Know.

“Younger men in their twenties? They’ve got energy, spontaneity, and they love a woman who knows what she wants.
“The younger ones actually match my pace both in and out of the gym.
“A young guy can get my heart racing, and I love their fresh outlook on life.
“We also seem to connect better.
“They’re more energetic and usually more positive.”
And Lesley believes the dynamic is very different with older men.

She said: “Compared to some older men, who can get a little lazy or predictable.
“Some of the more mature men who talk to me are often burdened by life and problems.
“Plus, physically, there seems to be a difference.”
Confidence and fitness are top of Lesley’s wish list.
She said: “I like a strong man, in more ways than one.
“A man who’s confident enough to approach me is a good start.
“A healthy body so they can keep up with me.

“And a sense of humour, of course.
“Plus, I’ve never paid for a date – so someone who wants to treat me.
“Let’s just say I’ve never been short of invitations… plus my followers keep me busy enough.”
Lesley’s preferred dating range spans from the mid-twenties to around 40.
She said: “Regarding an age minimum, I don’t ask about their age, and usually they don’t ask mine.
“It’s good to go with the flow and forget these little details.
“Somewhere between mid-twenties to forty feels about right.”
However, she admits that even if a man ticks all the boxes, chemistry is non-negotiable.

Lesley said: “I believe the chemistry has to be present in a relationship.
“I once dated a successful real estate agent and realised that although he was a gentleman, there wasn’t any chemistry between us.
“So I used my ‘three-day cooling-off period’ as a reason to end it with him.
“That is a real estate term that allows you to cancel a contract if you’ve purchased a property and change your mind!”
As well as youth and confidence, Lesley says she looks for men who take care of themselves and share her healthy lifestyle.

Lesley, from Melbourne, Australia, added: “A healthy body is always a must as it shows self-respect, plus we could share the same lifestyle with exercise, plus eat healthier.
“Respect for your body is a good sign for me.
“Someone who appreciates nature and, like most women, has a sense of humour.
“Oh, and a good kisser can work magic.”
Whether it’s in the gym or her love life, the glamorous gran is showing no signs of slowing down – and she insists the right man just needs to bring energy, positivity and a good sense of humour to keep up with her.
