A young beauty queen has died after a horror motorbike smash on her way to work.
Alondra Marianela Hernández Pérez lost control of her bike on a notorious stretch of motorway in Guatemala.
The 20-year-old was rushed to hospital still alive but tragically died the following day.

The crash happened on the San Marcos-Quetzaltenango highway, considered one of the most dangerous roads in the country due to its high accident rate.
Authorities have not yet confirmed her exact cause of death, as reported by Need To Know.

The crash happened last Tuesday (Aug 26).
Alondra had been crowned beauty queen for La Blanca in San Marcos Department in 2024 and was at the start of a promising career when tragedy struck.
Her death has shocked fans and the modelling community across Guatemala.
The municipal government said in a statement: “The Departmental Queen of San Marcos mourns the passing of Marianela Hernández Pérez, Miss La Blanca 2024.

“We send our condolences to her mother and siblings and to her community in La Blanca.
“Rest in peace.”
The investigation into her death is ongoing.
