A brazen thief strolled out of Tesco with a basket full of shopping before pedalling off on a bike while still clutching it.
The long-haired man was seen casually wandering the aisles before heading for the exit.
He then dashed outside, hopped on a pushbike propped near the doors and made his getaway – basket in hand.

Nobody appeared to stop him and viewers online were stunned at how easily he got away.
It happened in Bromley, south London, last Thursday (Aug 28), as reported by Need To Know.
One said: “No muppets even bothered stopping the scumbag.”

Another fumed: “This stealing culture needs to stop. Where’s the security?”
A third joked: “To be fair, the thief did get away using environmentally friendly transport.”
And another quipped: “Paying before leaving the store is optional.”

Shoplifting is soaring in London, with offences up 54 per cent in the year to April 2025 – far above the national average.
The rise has been linked to the capital’s soaring cost of living and the sheer number of shops.
Tesco and the Metropolitan Police have been approached for comment.
