Walkers have been warned after a woman became trapped in quicksand at a UK beauty spot.
The beachgoer got stuck when her foot sank into a mud patch before both her legs became trapped.
Panicked, she called for help and coastguard teams raced to the scene on yesterday (16 Sept).

It happened near West Kirby Marine Lake, in The Wirral, Merseyside, as reported by Need To Know.
Coastguard Mud Rescue Technicians from Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team managed to haul her free, while control room operator Sarah kept her calm during the drama.
Thankfully, she escaped unharmed.

Deputy Station Officer Paul Ambrose said: “There are a number of mud patches around our coastline which can appear to be wet sand, leaving people suddenly stuck.
“Although this female didn’t look that stuck when we arrived, the sand was really thick, making the extraction harder than we expected for this area.
“Today’s location in West Kirby was more like quicksand than mud.
“We haven’t experienced quicksand like this in our area before, so it’s definitely something to be aware of when walking on the beach.

“Where possible, try to avoid mud patches, and if you start to feel the sand softening underfoot, backtrack if you can.
“If you do become stuck, keep calm, avoid moving too much, spread your weight by sitting down, and call 999 to ask for the Coastguard.”
Locals are now being urged to take extra care following the rare incident.
