Backup units were called in who quickly caught the thieves, who denied having a car.
Cops opened the boot and found 300 boxes of the posh chocs.
It happened at the Broughton Shopping Park, Chester Road, in Broughton, Bretton, Flintshire, north Wales – near Chester.

A North Wales Police spokesperson joked about the 90s TV advert for the confectionery.
Guests tuck into them at an Ambassador’s reception where they state they are being spoiled.
He said: “Monsieur, with these Rocher you are really spoiling us.

“Officers attended to a report of shoplifting at Broughton Park.
“However on arrival the suspects had left the location.
“Officers attended and located them nearby where both were arrested for theft.
“Despite the suspects claiming that they did not have a car, officers managed to locate one nearby.
On opening the vehicle it became apparent why they had told us this.”
It happened last Wednesday (1 Oct), as reported on Need To Know.
“Both suspects were remanded and placed before the courts where they received a conditional discharge, valid for two years.
“And no, unfortunately, we don’t get to eat the seized items.”
Local Michael Talbot quipped: “Are these still available please?

“Can be collected this evening.”
Lesley Povey said: “Happy to dispose of the items for you at our local food pantry.”
Shane Ellis added: “Major bust that like.”
