We sampled Nando’s latest menu additions so you know which dishes are worth the hype.
Nando’s is famous for its flame-grilled peri-peri chicken, drawing inspiration from Portuguese and Mozambican flavors.

Since arriving in the UK in 1992, it has earned a devoted following thanks to its fiery marinades, laid-back atmosphere, and irresistible sides like peri-peri fries and garlic bread.
Over the years, they have released multiple new items which have made it onto the menu — but will this Autumn’s PERI-Mac wrap and sweet heat spice win over fans?
Well I made my way down to give these items a go and here is my verdict.
First off for starters and extra sides we went for the Cheesy Garlic Pitta – costing £4.95

Described as “A toasted sourdough pitta oozing with melty cheddar cheese, garlic, spring onions and a hint of PERi-PERi,” it certainly made the cut for me.
The cheese was perfectly gooey, the garlic added a punch without overpowering, and the subtle PERi-PERi kick gave it just the right amount of heat.
Every bite was packed with flavour, making it a standout addition to Nando’s menu.
Next was the Hearty Grains – at a cost of £4.25.

It featured a warm mix of grains with green chickpeas, roasted butternut squash, and dried cranberries, all tossed in lemony oil and finished with a creamy dressing.
I liked it overall – the flavours were fresh and vibrant – but I felt there was a bit too much going on for my taste.
Next was to try the one we’ve all been waiting for… the PERI-Mac wrap – costing £10.95 on its own.

The chicken breast, perfectly grilled in my favourite medium spice, is paired with creamy mac & cheese, fresh lettuce, and Nando’s signature PERi-PERi crumb, all drizzled with the zesty PERi-Tamer sauce.
I absolutely loved it – the flavours were rich and comforting, and the heat delivered just the right kick to keep things exciting.
If you’re a mac & cheese fan, this is a must-try, it takes the classic comfort food to a whole new, spicy level.
Of course, we also had to try the new Sweet Heat spice on two of their chicken thighs, and I was very pleasantly surprised.
Hot on the tongue, sweet on the soul—it’s BBQ for the bold.

The spice had a perfect balance of smoky sweetness and a fiery kick that lingered just long enough to keep things exciting. If you like your chicken with a bit of daring flavour, this is an absolute winner.
The staff were also very attentive and so lovely – especially our waiter Mustafa and manager Jade.
Every bite was a perfect mix of heat, flavour, and comfort—definitely one of my favourite Nando’s experiences yet!
