A psychic has shared the moment a farmer came through to tell his son to fix his cow’s hoof.
Rachel Cope is a medium who travels across the UK connecting people with their loved ones from beyond the grave – often with messages as practical as they are spooky.
The 59-year-old says that one such spirit wasted no time coming forward to inform his son that his bovine’s hoof was “buggered”.

At the time of the supernatural appearance, Rachel was hosting an event as the farmer sent her a message to relay to his child.
“I received a message for a gentleman in the audience who [according to the spirit] had a problem with a cow,” Rachel, from Stafford, told Need To Know.
“It had an abscess on its hoof.
“I was very aware of his dad, who validated [that] it was him, and then launched into being concerned about one of the cows, and kept mentioning a Hereford [bovine].
“The man’s father was also a farmer and made it very apparent that his son had been trying to inject the cow that day with antibiotics.
“But he [said that his son] needed to have the vet round to take a closer look at the hoof, as the abscess needed further veterinary attention.
“The message was extremely precise and evidential; no one would have ever known about this apart from the son, his wife, and the spirit.”
As it was such a unique experience, Rachel stayed in contact with the man and later heard that the spirit of his father had indeed been correct.
He wrote: “The foot trimmer has just been, and this is the bull’s foot with an abscess just as dad was telling you.
“Amazing.
“It’s all been treated and hopefully will heal itself.
“It is just so amazing when a spirit comes and can show they are never far away from our everyday lives.
“I do find this a comfort, especially when times are tough.”
He also included an image of the red, yellow and bloody hoof.
As soon as Rachel saw it, she felt a connection with the deceased dad’s spirit again.
While people in the audience were shocked to hear the story, as a medium, she wasn’t overly taken aback by the experience.
She said: “I’m never surprised with our loved ones giving absolute factual information regarding their loved ones, as they see our lives from the spirit world and are always part of us.
“Some messages are extremely specific; each and every message given is totally unique.”
The psychic encountered the farmer’s spirit at The Saracens Head in Meir.
It isn’t usual for her to have such a strong connection to a spirit – but it can depend on the location.
She said: “Every venue is different, but as soon as I walked into [that one], I knew this was going to be an exceptional evening, and it truly was.
“I could feel the energy from loved ones in spirit before the evening commenced.
“I certainly didn’t expect to be chatting with a dad in spirit, to his son, discussing a cow’s hoof – but nothing surprises me.
“There is no script for any of my shows; the spirit world knows what information is being given.
“I’m just the bit in the middle, the facilitator of that reading.
“Ironically, there were quite a few sceptics in the audience that night, as there are in many of my over 150 shows per year!
“But so many change their minds after leaving my events, and even come along for private readings too.”
