A reality star is being held in custody after allegedly being caught with 147kg of ecstasy, estimated to be worth £2.6m.
Jessica Chu was stopped at a motorway toll station for a routine vehicle inspection.
She claimed she wasn’t carrying anything illegal, but customs officers decided to search her car thoroughly.

In the boot, they discovered two large bags full of ecstasy pills, it is said.
Driving towards Spain at the time, she was arrested near Biarritz on suspicion of large-scale drug trafficking.
She has remained in a French prison since her arrest on 18 July, as reported by Need To Know.

On Wednesday (15 Oct), Chu – from Barneveld, Netherlands – was finally allowed a visit from her parents.
“She’s sharing a cell with four others. She was very happy with the warm clothes we brought,” her stepfather told Dutch media.
“Occasionally someone new comes in and someone leaves, so it’s not easy,” he added. “There was also one who was a bit unstable.”
Her parents still do not know the full details of what happened. “She’s not allowed to talk to us about that freely,” he said.

According to Chu’s French lawyer, it could take up to a year before she gets a hearing. Until then, she will remain behind bars.
Chu, 30, first became known for appearances on “De slechtste chauffeur van Nederland” – The Worst Driver in the Netherlands – and “Echte meisjes in de jungle” – Real Girls in the Jungle.
She is also a DJ, performing under the stage name DJ Jessy, and an influencer.
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment, citing her right to privacy.
