A pair of crooks dubbed “Pinky and the Brain” for their resemblance to the scheming cartoon lab mice have been nabbed over a string of robberies.
The duo – one short and squat like Brain, the other tall and lanky like Pinky – were filmed being led away with their hands cuffed behind their backs.
They were caught shortly after allegedly robbing a young woman at gunpoint as she returned home.

Spotting the police, they tried to flee on a motorbike but were stopped before they could get away.
The woman’s phone and bank card were recovered, along with a firearm and the getaway bike – a TVS Apache reported stolen.
Police identified the rider, “Cerebro” (The Brain), as 30-year-old Luis Valerio García Vega, and the pillion gunman, “Pinky”, as 23-year-old Feyserr David Pérez Estrada.
Both had been under investigation for weeks, as reported by NeedToKnow.
National Civil Police say the pair are suspected of carrying out a series of armed robberies across Guatemala City.

“They often change clothing and use different motorcycles for each crime,” authorities said.
“Surveillance footage has documented these offences.”
Footage released by police shows the hapless pair carrying out their crimes openly, faces uncovered, in full view of CCTV.
Authorities are calling for other victims to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
“I wonder what they’re going to do tomorrow night,” joked Marcelo.

“I thought they always got caught at the end of every adventure,” quipped Sergio.
“Pinky, maybe, but Brain? Nope,” added Arturo.
