An adorable puppy is starting life on the beat after joining the police force at only a few weeks old.
PD Archer is the latest cute recruit to sign up, replacing a retiring dog who served for nine years.
The pup, which resembles a Belgian Malinois, is currently taking part in training before hitting the streets.

The three-month-old dog’s schedule currently consists of puppy training, environmental training and learning all-important socialisation skills.
Archer has joined up with the West Yorkshire Police after being born in Scotland.

PC Matthews, who currently works alongside veteran PD Luther, is now training up his next partner.
The award winning PD Luther has been in the forces for just shy of a decade and is now set to retire.
Archer was announced as the latest police dog on Friday (31 Oct), as reported by Need To Know.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police stated: “Hi everyone, I’m Archer the Force’s newest (and cutest) recruit.
“I was born at the end of August in Scotland, had a few weeks with Mum then packed my tiny bags and headed to Yorkshire to start training to become a Police Dog.
“PC Matthews is really experienced – he currently works with PD Luther, an award-winning Police Dog who is set to retire from his duties shortly as he’s approaching 9 years of age and ready for a rest.

“That’s where I come in! I’m trying really hard (in between naps) to be a very good boy and look forward to continuing my training.”
Members of the public were left in awe by the adorable dog.
