A company that specialises in building survival strongholds has revealed the top five cities where people “buy the most bunkers” – but fans say “only the rich” can pay up.
The ‘Fat Boy’ and the ‘Big Boy’ are just two of the bomb shelters designed by Atlas Survival Shelters – with the latter costing $300,000.
But despite the steep price tag, it seems business is booming in some areas in particular.

In a TikTok that has over 39,800 views, Atlas Survival Shelters told its 266,600 followers where their bunkers are being installed.
The same clip has also gone viral on Instagram with over 6,000 views.
“People always ask me What cities buy the most bunkers? Here are our most recent frequent destinations: Las Vegas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Nashville,” the caption reads.
Social media users have come out in force to share their thoughts, as reported by Need To Know, with mixed views.
Isabell said: “I’m poor. My bunker is my tub!”
“That must be some rich ass people in Arizona buying those bunkers bc lord knows the dirt is rock hard and not easy to dig out for this kind of stuff,” said one person.
“Only the rich can afford this kind of safety,” said Rickki.
“Interesting it’s all desert climates,” added someone else.
“And how do you get water im the desert lol,” joked Andrew.
Kyle replied: “Can’t drink nuke water.”
Another person said: “I’d rather die outside than be stuck in a tomb.”
Someone else added: “I can’t wait to get mine!”
In a more recent post, Atlas Survival Shelters also revealed other locations that they are currently shipping bomb shelters to across the US.
This included recent deliveries to Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Indiana, Florida, Georgia and Nevada.
They added: “Every location, every terrain — one mission: keep families safe underground.”
Although the Big Boy bunker is a pricey fella, there are cheaper alternatives.
A four-person precast costs $25,000 or you could get a 10-person bunker for $150,000.
