The 21-year-old’s story recently hit the headlines after a video of her selling religious items on the street went viral.
Locals dubbed her the “model nun” and her story has become an example of faith, renunciation, and spiritual transformation.
Kamila, who was born in Minas Gerais, north of Rio de Janerio, Brazil, left the catwalk at the age of 18.
She had been crowned Miss Continente Teen Sol Naciente and had a promising modelling career ahead of her.

She took part in various beauty pageants and received offers to go into show business.
But instead she left home and her former identity to join the Sancta Dei Genitrix congregation, an independent community of the Catholic Church.
Now known as Sister Eva, she has built a strong social media presence of 60,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok.
She has also helped to boost the congregation’s Instagram following to 341,000, as reported by Need To Know.
Her religious order encourages its members to be active on social media and embraces new technological tools.
Sister Eva uses her online presence to share messages of faith and answer questions about her religious calling.

She explained that she first turned to God following the sudden death of her father when she was only nine years old.
Her modelling endeavours failed to fill the emotional void and anxiety and depression plagued her throughout her adolescence.
She said she attended a church service where she noticed a nun radiating “a special light”.
She started looking into the life of a nun and could see herself wearing the habit.
The Brazilian nun said she regularly receives compliments about her looks and marriage proposals on social media.
But she remains committed to her “husband”, Jesus.
