An influencer has admitted that she’s ‘skint’ after forking out a whopping £15,000 on Christmas presents for her son – and says she isn’t sure how she’ll afford bills in the New Year.
Jodie Weston claims her savings are quickly “dwindling” away.
The 32-year-old, spent the lavish amount on a weekly advent calendar full of surprises in the lead up to the big day for her son, Koa-Zayde, two.
But now, her luxurious spending habits, and less income due to technological developments affecting her career as a content creator, is starting to have a huge impact on her finances.
“I think I’ll have to change my ways – and fast,” she told Need To Know.

“Luckily, I have some savings, but they’ll quickly disappear overnight at this rate.
“I’m worried, as work at the start of the year is always quite quiet.
“So I need to be very careful with my spending.
“It’s going to be quite bleak for us.”
Jodie, from London, spent £2,000 on a trip to Centre Parcs, as well as £450 on a dino soft play pass for her toddler, before heading off to Legoland.
This month, they’ll be visiting Lapland.
And that’s not all.
The pair will have matching Cartier bracelets, matching designer pyjamas for Christmas Eve, and Jodie has even enquired about getting a picture of them projected onto the moon.

While the grand gesture seemed doable at first, she’s now having regrets – especially as her income has dropped by £1,000 each month.
She said: “In the last two months, things have been seriously drying up.
“It’s a scary time for me.
“AI has caused such a huge, and sudden, change.
“I have to think quickly about other avenues of income, as I’m on the verge of losing my job overnight.”
For now, though, she’s keeping up with her usual lifestyle and will be jetting off to Abu Dhabi to kick off the New Year in style.

She added: “I like to start off the year on a good note.
“And when we get home, then I’ll let reality hit.
“I don’t want to let Koa-Zayde be affected by this, so I’ll do all I can to make sure that isn’t the case.
“Right now, I’m focusing on living – and in style.”
Jodie was recently slammed by fellow mums, calling her a “rich snob”.
The influencer, who has appeared on Channel 5’s Rich Kids Go Skint, Rich Holiday Poor Holiday and BBC’s Eating with My Ex, says that most women are likely just jealous.
