A mum-of-two social media star has died during a liposuction procedure.
Simone Maniçoba suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest shortly after receiving anaesthesia ahead of the procedure.
The arrest lasted around a minute and a half, and although she was resuscitated, she suffered brain swelling.

She was admitted to the ICU in Mossoró, east of Manaus, Brazil, where she was intubated.
Despite doctors’ best efforts, brain death was confirmed on Sunday (28 Dec).
Liposuction had been a long-time goal for Simone, 45, according to her loved ones.
She had been working to reach her target weight and undergoing all the required check-ups in preparation for the surgery.

Family friend, Gledson Marques, said: “It was her dream, like for most women. The desire to have a more beautiful body.
“She did all the necessary tests.”
Originally from Alexandria, Simone had more than 65,000 Instagram followers, as reported by Need To Know.
Her content focused on beauty, fashion, and lifestyle, and she often shared her daily routine, beauty tips, and personal experiences.
She also held live sessions to sell products from shops in Mossoró.
She leaves behind a husband of 26 years and two children, aged 25 and 14.
According to her social media, she began her career as a saleswoman, then worked as a receptionist, and later spent nine years as a manager at a payroll loan company.
She went on to open her own store, which she ran for 11 years. After that, she moved into digital marketing, and at the time of her death, she was working as a resource manager at a company.
Her death is being treated as a tragic accident.
Simone was laid to rest in Mossoró yesterday (29 Dec).
