A yoga boss allegedly killed a dad-to-be pedestrian while drink-driving – after giving relaxation advice while filming behind the wheel.

Ramón Oscar Olivera had just crossed the dual carriageway and was walking along the edge line when he was struck.

Yesica Loreley Quevedo was driving at high speed and straddling the line when Ramón, 49, was knocked down.

He was on his way to his maintenance job and died instantly from the impact at around 7am on Sunday (28 Dec).

A breathalyser test was taken shortly after at the scene in General Pacheco, near Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires.

It returned a dangerously high reading of 0.63 g/L, in clear violation of the province’s zero-tolerance alcohol laws.

It also emerged that the Jeep Renegade the 41-year-old was driving had been recorded speeding seven times in the province.

Less than three weeks earlier on 10 December, Quevedo – who runs a business selling yoga mats – had posted a selfie video of herself driving with just one hand.

Alongside the clip, she gave relaxation advice: “Being strong all the time is exhausting – I know.

“It’s a tough month. Everyone’s rushing to close cycles, finish stages, deal with the system that overwhelms us, and keep up with life as it happens.

“Being strong feels like an endless race. All I wish is that in those moments you can take a pause and just breathe.”

The post has since been flooded with comments from locals demanding justice, as reported by Need To Know.

“Next time, practise what you preach,” wrote Víctor.

“You don’t have to be strong all the time, but you do need to be sober when you’re driving, dear,” said Jorgelina.

“There you have it. Messing around on her phone while driving,” added Juan Carlos.

Ramón had been planning to celebrate turning 50 next Wednesday (7 Jan).

His partner, 42-year-old Paola, is three months pregnant, and he was excited about becoming a father.

His sister, Marta Beatriz Olivera, 52, arrived at the scene to find him “completely broken, his face destroyed.”

She told local media: “My brother was my other half.

“Full of life and healthy, he was expecting his first baby and worked 13 to 15 hours a day. He did everything right.”

Quevedo was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter.

She was released on Tuesday (30 Dec) after posting bail and remains under investigation.
