The 44-year-old was killed at the scene yesterday (5 Jan).
His companion alerted the emergency services at around 9am.
Philipp, who came from the Austrian capital Vienna, was carrying out the jump at Monte Brento in Trentino, Italy.

A rescue helicopter with four members of the Trentino Alpine and Speleological Rescue team was sent to his location, as reported by Need To Know.
The rescuers performed an initial flyover to identify the victim before being lowered to his position.
However, all they could do was pronounce Philipp dead at the scene.
The victim, who lived in Wisconsin in the US, was a passionate base jumper who shared videos of his flights on social media.
In his last filmed jump from November 2025, the Austrian thrillseeker was seen flying through the valleys of Meiringen, Switzerland.
He also carried out the perilous ‘Death Star’ jump in the Italian Dolomites in October last year.
