But instead of letting it get him down, he’s decided to join the jokers and has now made a side hustle from making fun of his “unfortunate” title.
In a clip, which has racked up 4.2m views and over 385,000 likes, he introduces himself.
He said: “My name is Jeffrey Epstein – really that is my birth name –and obviously has been quite an unfortunate name to have these last 10 years.

“And yes, I know I could have changed my name, but I didn’t.
“I decided to stick it out and become a stand-up comedian instead.
“Making fun of my reality of sharing a birth name with a notorious criminal who just can’t stay out of the news.
“I’ve kept on the down low, haven’t posted any of the material on social media.
“And of saved it for live, in-person shows these last few years.
“But the people and Congress have spoken and they are demanding the release of the Epstein comedy – so stay tuned.”
Jeffrey, from Portland, Oregon, US, says his career all started back in 2018.
“The reactions became notable when the Jeffrey Epstein news started becoming mainstream – but it’s been a news item that never went away,” Jeff told Need To Know.
“In person, people will at first be startled or not believe it – but will be empathetic and nice.
“It does make for some awkward interactions when people see or hear my name.
“Online, the reactions range the spectrum from mean spirited to very kind.
“But I’m only on social media because I chose to become a stand-up comedian – so I know what I signed up for by using my real name.”
Jeffrey Epstein, the criminal, was imprisoned for human trafficking, child sex offences and rape.
Jeffrey Epstein, the comedian, aged 56, says he’s simply “making lemonade out of lemons”.
He added: “The reactions to the initial video have been all over the map – but there are many people that appreciate it’s my way of [dealing] with my reality of sharing a name with probably the most famous evil criminal of the modern era.
“An element to make clear is that my comedy is clean and not dark – it’s a silly self deprecating spin on my existence with the same name.
“It is a delicate line when dealing with a situation that involved very serious crimes and victims and I make sure that my material is appropriate and respectful.”
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions.
One person said: “Why should you change your name, he’s the one who sucks.”
