A TV presenter has lost an eye in a fireworks accident.
Andrea Plewig was rushed to hospital, but doctors could not save her left eye.
She is now calling for ban on private-use fireworks.

The 55-year-old suffered the horrifying accident while ringing in the new year at home with loved ones.
The former Astro TV presenter said she prepared the rockets in the ground while entertaining guests at her home near Berlin, Germany.
She explained: “I unpacked the fireworks, prepared the fuses, and I had a flashlight with me.
“The children were always at a safe distance.”
The presenter said a rocket unexpectedly flew into her eye and she collapsed on the ground.
Andrea, who has undergone gruelling chemotherapy for breast cancer recently, was taken to hospital by ambulance, as reported by Need To Know.
She now supports the No To Fireworks campaign and is calling for stricter rules on private-use pyrotechnics.
Andrea said she’d like to see an outright ban.
She called the products “dangerous” and said they often come with “unforeseen consequences, not just for us humans, but also for nature, for animals”.
Andrea has the support of close friend and fellow TV presenter Vera Int-Veen, 58.
Vera said: “When I heard about Andrea’s terrible accident, I was deeply shocked and just went into autopilot.
“Not only my partner and I, but our entire circle of friends are there for Andrea.
“We all accompanied her through her cancer diagnosis over the past year and a half, and we are going through this difficult time together now.”
Andrea recently received the all-clear after a breast cancer diagnosis 18 months ago, followed by lengthy chemotherapy treatment.
She is now considered cancer-free, but still needs to have surgery.
