One primate ran straight into the victim’s scooter.
CCTV footage showed the animal running out of the woods and across the motorway.
It then slammed into the scooter rider, sending her crashing to the ground, as reported by Need To Know.
At least four other monkeys then ran across the road to join their pal in the woods on the other side.
The police arrived quickly on the scene to help the victim, surnamed Chang.
They conducted a breathalyser test that confirmed she wasn’t riding under the influence.
Ms. Chang was then taken to the Su’ao Veterans Hospital for treatment to her cuts and scrapes.
Her motorcycle was badly damaged in the accident.
The police reminded drivers that the section of Yishan Road is in a mountainous area and wildlife sightings are common.
They urged citizens to slow down and pay close attention to the road conditions when travelling through the area.
