A bungling driver has been fired after his lorry became stranded on a beach during his marriage proposal.
A crane was reportedly used to remove the trailer from the sand.
The driver, named only as Edwin, used a small access point on the boardwalk to access the beach.

Accompanied by the apple of his eye, they remained on the coastal spot for several hours, enjoying food and alcoholic drinks.
Edwin popped the question during the romantic rendezvous.
But when it came time to leave, the lorry sank into the sand and wouldn’t budge.
The bungled gesture took place at Playa Norte in the resort town of Mazatlán on Mexico’s Pacific coast on Wednesday (21 Jan).
The police arrived and Edwin was placed under arrest for driving in a restricted and protected area.
The lorry was removed from the beach and impounded, as reported by Need To Know.
He was brought before a civil judge on public order offences.

The mayor said: “What the traffic commander is saying is that it was a marriage proposal, something romantic the driver was planning to do, but the truth is that it wasn’t right, it’s a disturbance of public order, it’s not allowed and we’re going to take action.”
Edwin, who comes from Tonalá in Jalisco State, said he was later sacked by the Castores transport company after the mishap.
As his Facebook page currently lists him as “single”, it’s unclear if his girlfriend accepted his marriage proposal.
Meanwhile, the seized lorry will not be released until all corresponding investigations are carried out.
