A homeowner was shocked to find a python in their garden – devouring a live bat.
Pictures show the gruesome scene, with the snake locking the winged mammal in a death grip.
Onlookers joked it was “snake vs bat”, with the python triumphing.

The snake was later filmed digesting the creature, with a large bulge in its body.
The incident took place yesterday (28 January), with snake catcher Tim Hudson called out to attend the scene.
The python had been lurking in a suburban garden in Coombabah, Queensland, Australia, as reported by Need To Know.
Tim was able to safely retrieve the beast and relocate it elsewhere – but not before it had “lunch”.
