A crook has been arrested after a bizarre break-in at a salon, where he stole hundreds of bundles of natural hair, going on to destroy some of it.
Under the cover of night, the shaven-headed thief broke in through a utility room window before raiding the salon itself.
The owner estimated losses at over £163,000 (800,000 PLN).

The bizarre theft left the owner of the salon in Warsaw shaken and angry.
He said at the time: “We were robbed. They took more from us than just hair. They took a piece of our soul, our daily life, our dream, which we build every day with passion.
“Every strand that disappeared isn’t just ‘merchandise’ – it represents hours of our work, love, careful selection, belief in beauty, and belief in what we do.”
The crime occurred last July, and after months of investigation, a 29-year-old man was arrested in the Polish capital recently.
He has since been remanded in custody, as reported by Need To Know.
The Warsaw Metropolitan Police said on 26 January: “The evidence collected allowed prosecutors to charge him with theft with burglary, a crime punishable under the penal code by up to 10 years in prison.
“At the request of the prosecutor’s office, the court decided to place the suspect in pre-trial detention for a period of three months.”
After news of the crime spread online, people noticed the suspect’s shaven back and sides look.
Marek joked: “He was jealous that everyone else had hair and he didn’t.”
Paulina speculated: “You could maybe understand the theft – but stealing it AND destroying it? It must have been his ex’s salon, judging by how he behaved.”
And Jacek quipped: “Not a hair on his head will be harmed.”
