A soap star and her mum have given birth just weeks apart – with the young girls now being raised together “like sisters”.
Catalina Castelblanco, who started acting in soap operas as a child, has a daughter named Nicoletta.
Her mother, Paula Meneses, 52, is the mum of Bruna – who was born just a few weeks before her niece.
The 28-year-old actress said: “I found out I was pregnant first and then she did, even though Bruna, my sister, was born a bit earlier.”
Catalina, star of the Chilean telenovela ‘El Jardin de Olivia’, described her unusual family setup with fellow soap star Maria Paz Jorquiera on ‘Buspool’, a Disney vodcast launched this month.

She said: “Experiencing motherhood at the same time as my mum is very powerful.
“We share fears, lessons learned, and also give each other a lot of support.”
Catalina’s 43-year-old aunt also gave birth a few months after her and her mum.
She said: “So we have three young children in the family now.
“Imagine Christmas, how fun!”
Nicoletta and Bruna are both five years old.

Catalina started acting in the TVN telenovela Floribella at the age of nine.
In 2007, she played Amparo Zanetti in the US Spanish-language soap opera Alguien Te Mira.
She co-starred in the Chilean telenovela Aquí Mando Yo in 2011.
In 2013, she moved to Canal 13 to star in the TV series Mamá Mechona, where she played Olivia Mora.
She has been playing the part of Ignacia Walker in El Jardin de Olivia since March last year, as reported by Need To Know.
Catalina has been in a relationship with entrepreneur Nicolás Pardo since 2019.
