A woman allegedly drugged two men to death after asking ChatGPT for advice on how to do it.
The 21-year-old, identified only by her surname Kim, was arrested on 11 February and charged with two counts of murder eight days later.
Authorities say she first tried to kill her then-boyfriend in December last year by spiking his drink with sedatives in a café car park in Namyangju, South Korea.

He fell unconscious but regained consciousness two days later and reported the incident.
On 28 January, Kim checked into a Seoul motel with a man in his twenties. She left after two hours, and the man was found dead the following day.
On 9 February, she checked into another Seoul motel with another man in his twenties, who died under similar circumstances.

Post-mortem examinations found large amounts of multiple drugs in both bodies, as reported by Need To Know.
During questioning, Kim admitted to spiking the men’s drinks with benzodiazepine-containing sedatives but denied any intent to kill.
However, police say her mobile phone revealed multiple ChatGPT queries such as “What happens if you take sleeping pills with alcohol?”, “How much is dangerous?” and “Could someone die?”
A police source said: “She asked these questions several times and received answers, so she was fully aware that combining alcohol and drugs could be fatal.”

Investigators believe that after her first failed attempt, Kim increased the doses in subsequent drinks.
On the day her second victim died, she posted a bed selfie on social media with hashtags like “follow me”, “follow back” and “DM for follow back”, suggesting she may have been seeking additional victims.
Police are investigating whether there were other victims and are awaiting the results of a psychopathy assessment.
Local media report that Kim has a history of mental health treatment. Some reports list her age as 22.
