A 25-year-old man was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver over a suspected “settling of scores”.
Horrifying footage shows the young man with the handle of a screwdriver protruding from his left temple after officers carefully bandaged his head.
While waiting for an ambulance, a bystander placed a sweatshirt under his neck as he lay on the pavement.

His heavily pregnant girlfriend covered him with her jacket on Friday (13 Mar).
One witness told local media in Albatera, in Spain’s Alicante province: “A man came looking for him, apparently to settle a score.
“I think he asked him for money when they ran into each other on the street.
“The young man then went up to his girlfriend’s flat and came back down with a screwdriver, which he stabbed into the other man’s mouth.
“But the other guy pulled it out and fought back, stabbing him in the head.”
Two Local Police officers managed to keep the victim conscious before he was taken to a hospital in Elche.
Surgeons successfully removed the screwdriver, which had been lodged beneath his temple, passing diagonally through his skull from nose to teeth.
An investigation is ongoing, as reported by Need To Know. Police say the two men involved are of Moroccan and Algerian nationality.
The second man, 37, was arrested after officers located him at a health centre in nearby Catral.
He had checked in mid-flight because he was bleeding heavily from a cheek wound.

A source close to the investigation told local media he had suffered “an open wound on his cheek, with muscle tissue severed”.
A witness, who asked to remain anonymous, added: “The young man who was stabbed is about to become a father with a woman who lives in a social housing flat and already has three children.
“Apparently, she doesn’t work, and he is involved in small-time hustling.”
Both men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and attempted homicide.
Police are working to establish their relationship and the motive behind the violent fight.
