A machete-wielding man who attacked a victim in a frenzied rush hour knife attack in front of horrified commuters has been convicted.
Aidan Watts, from Cremorne Estate, Kensington and Chelsea, is awaiting his sentence after pleading guilty to GBH.
The shocking incident in broad daylight saw a 20-year-old victim suffer a number of life-threatening stab wounds on his thigh, abdomen and buttocks.
He was attacked by Watts, 20, who was accompanied by Jakada Joseph, 22, and Stefan Kosavac-Godart, 19.
Commuters watched in horror as the Watts raced across the platform at Imperial Wharf railway station, Chelsea, London, as reported by Need To Know.
The trio appeared at Inner London Crown Court on 12 March, with Watts convicted of GBH and the other two convicted of affray.
All three will be sentenced at the same court on 16 April.
The incident took place at 5.20pm on 18 June, sparking an investigation by British Transport Police.
Witnesses claim the victim was on the same train as the trio – who then chased him across the platform before ambushing and tripping him over.
Watts then launched the attack.
The attacker, who was armed with a 15-inch blade, was caught on CCTV discarding items of clothing and his weapon, which was later found by cops.
He was arrested at his home while asleep on 22 Jun, with his two accomplices arrested on 3 and 29 Jul.
Paul Attwell, BTP DCI, Senior Investigating Officer for the case, said: “What was a normal summer’s evening at a busy West London station very quickly escalated into serious violence.

“The two parties were on the same train, within feet of each other, and had the group not noticed the victim then the whole incident could have been avoided.
“As it was, they spotted him and outnumbered him, before Watts launched a spontaneous but targeted frenzied attack on the platform.
“I’m pleased to see his conviction today.
“Our detectives worked tirelessly to gather a wealth of witness statements, CCTV footage and forensic evidence.
“I’d like to thank them and our colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service and the Crown Prosecution Service for supporting our investigation.”
