A ‘hapless Houdini’ has been rescued after tying himself up in a fishing net for a viral escape challenge.
The man wrapped himself in a blanket, fishing net and used cable ties to finish the job.
He then tried to escape from his binds.

He attempted the feat as part of the Zip Tie Escape Challenge where participants restrain themselves with cable ties and then attempt to break free.
But he went too far with his restraints and ended up pinned to his bed, unable to move.
A food deliveryman eventually heard his cries and immediately called the emergency services, as reported by Need To Know.
Firefighters arrived on the scene, but couldn’t enter through the locked door.
They called in a locksmith to enter the premises in Guangzhou, China, where they found the tied man lying on his bed.
A fire department spokesperson said he was “covered in sweat”.
Firefighters promptly cut the embarrassed lad free and he explained the situation.
In response, a fire department spokesperson advised locals to avoid “trying new things that could endanger yourself”.
They said to “fully assess the potential risks involved” when taking part in “novel online challenges”.
They added: “Do not blindly imitate or follow viral trends.”
