She could be seen struggling to pull Trần free, but it was too late.
Once Trần was fully sucked in, her colleague could only run to the far end of the conveyor belt in shock.
The tragedy unfolded on Sunday (22 Mar) morning in Trại Ổi village, Trường Sơn commune, Vietnam.
Trần, believed to be 41 or 42, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A resident of Cầu Gỗ village, she was the main breadwinner for her humble family, as reported by creatorzine.com.
Her husband works as a casual labourer, two of their children are at university, and their youngest is still at school.
Local authorities and community organisations, including the provincial civic body and the women’s association, have awarded the family a total of 17m VND (£484) in support.
Officials have visited to offer condolences, and an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
It remains unclear whether the factory owner, named in reports as Nguyễn Thế Cường, is considered a formal suspect.
