A sex pest who boasted he was “taking the L” after being caught exposing himself to women on the Tube has been jailed for 14 months.

Ayman Yanoussi, 21, was locked up after admitting two counts of exposure and possession of cannabis.

The creep, from St Johns Road in Newham, was also convicted of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which was handed to him less than a fortnight before his arrest.

While in a custody van, Yanoussi repeatedly banged his head against the wall, saying he was “taking the L”.

“Take the L” is a popular slang term meaning to accept failure or a loss, where “L” stands for “loss”.

It implies acknowledging a mistake, defeat, or unfortunate outcome and moving forward.

Yanoussi was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on April 16, as reported by Need To Know.

The charges relate to a shocking spree on December 28, 2025, where Yanoussi repeatedly exposed himself to women across the Underground network.

At around 11:20am, he was seen sitting on a bench at Upminster Bridge station with his trousers around his ankles, touching himself.

When a horrified woman tried to film him, he quickly pulled his trousers up and hid behind a pillar.

He then boarded a District Line train towards Wimbledon, where the ordeal escalated.

Yanoussi sat next to a woman before pulling his trousers down again.

After she moved away, he targeted another – and then another – exposing himself repeatedly as the train travelled towards Elm Park.

Several women fled the carriage as he continued his disturbing behaviour across multiple journeys, at times touching himself inappropriately.

At around 12:51pm, a woman alerted staff, prompting British Transport Police to respond.

Yanoussi fled Hammersmith Underground station after his train was stopped but was later tracked down by an officer at a nearby bus stop.

He was arrested and it was then revealed he had been handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order just weeks earlier.

That order followed a suspended nine-month sentence in April 2024 after he admitted three counts of upskirting.

Detective Constable Ian Hourihan said: “Yanoussi’s actions that day were despicable.

“He sought sexual gratification on the railway at the expense of dozens of women and other commuters.

“I am pleased to see him put behind bars, and would like to commend the bravery of the women who came forward to report his actions and support our investigation so we could secure justice.

“We believe that other women may have been targeted by Yanoussi that day, and I want to encourage them to come forward and report their experiences so we can secure justice for them too.

“If you’ve witnessed something similar or see any sexual offending on the railway network, I urge you to report it to us by discreetly texting 61016.

“We take every report seriously, and officers can be dispatched to intercept trains and arrest offenders.”
