A man who ‘serves’ his glam influencer girlfriend has revealed the awkward reality of travelling abroad together – including being stopped at airport security over his outfit.
Bradley Rivers, 38, works as a personal assistant for his partner and lives with her in Brisbane, Australia.
The couple are in what they describe as a “consensual dynamic”, where Bradley takes on a highly attentive, service-based role in their daily lives.

But while the arrangement works behind closed doors, Bradley admits it can lead to uncomfortable moments in public – particularly when flying.
During a recent trip, he was pulled aside at airport security after his bag was flagged.
“We sent our bags through the scanner and one of them got flagged for a set of handcuffs,” he told Need To Know – Your daily pulse on what’s trending, creating, and moving the needle .
“The officer [also then] pulled me aside and asked if I could remove [my collar].
When Bradley told staff he was unable to remove the collar – which he wears as a sign of servitude to his partner – staff carried out a physical check to ensure it was safe.
He said the interaction also drew attention from other travellers, adding: “I got a few curious looks from some other passengers but nothing was said.”
It’s not the only time Bradley’s lifestyle has led to tricky situations while travelling.
On a recent beach trip, the couple were left scrambling after misplacing the key to his collar.
After searching the area without success, they were forced to return home to retrieve a metal detector before heading back to try again.
Despite the occasional chaos, Bradley says public reactions to the couple’s set-up are usually limited to stares.
He said: “I’ve been pretty fortunate to not have experienced any negative reactions from strangers.
“I will admit it [the collar] draws stares a few times a day, but I’ve gotten used to it now.”
Those closest to the couple have been supportive of their alternative lifestyle.
Bradley, who receives a weekly wage with his bills and expenses covered, says he feels “extremely fortunate” in his situation.
He added: “Friends and family are extremely supportive.
“My mother is of the opinion that as long as I am happy and safe, she is onboard.
“I think people assume I’m not taken care of, or that I’m doing this for the wrong reasons.
“We’re still learning what works.
“We always communicate, and that helps a lot.”
