A woman has gone viral after she was left looking like she had “sprayed mud on her face” in a fake tan disaster.
Olivia Hall was left “horrified” when her usual glow-up routine turned into a muddy mishap.
The 34 year old had been getting ready for the weekend when she realised she had run out of her go-to face mist.
Digging through her stash, she found an old bottle and quickly applied it.
But things took a shocking turn when she checked the mirror.
“When I caught a glance of myself in the mirror I did a double take,” Olivia, from Nowra, Australia, told Need To Know.

“The term ‘mist’ made me believe that it would be a fine, even, clear application, much like the mists I’ve used in the past.
“But instead it looked like I had sprayed mud on my face.
“I was shocked, confused, horrified and honestly I burst out laughing.”
After posting the results online, her clip exploded, racking up more than 20.5 million views and 1.9 million likes.
Olivia had used a face mist by Bondi Sands which she’d forgotten about until she needed a quick replacement.

But she wasn’t alone, with hundreds of women flooding the comments saying the exact same thing had happened to them.
Olivia said: “It was like a community of tanning mist victims.
“I mean having it go so insanely viral was completely unintentional.
“First and foremost, I just thought it was funny and secondly I wanted an explanation from the brand on what they thought a ‘mist’ was.
“But to have so many other girls comment that the exact same thing happened to them and share their own photos was hysterical.”
After the post blew up, the brand responded in the comments.
Olivia even joked they should use her video in a team meeting to address the issue.
She said: “I kind of got the feeling that Bondi Sands had no choice but to address it because it got so much attention.
“Their first comment on the video was apologetic and they said that they would talk to their team, to which I responded with a challenge to send a photo of my TikTok in their Monday morning meeting.

“I wasn’t serious about wanting proof they’re addressing the issue… I just thought that it would be hilarious to see my ugly face in a huge company’s PowerPoint presentation.
“But a couple of days later they messaged me on TikTok with another apology and the photo of my TikTok in their meeting.
“It was a terrible product and they’re well aware of that considering they are discontinuing it.
“But they could do with a little shake up with how they handle some bad press.”
