A married architect and a divorced businesswoman have been caught allegedly romping in the business-class cabin of an international flight.

The randy pair were travelling on Copa Airlines flight CM 836 from Panama when they were spotted allegedly having sex.

The suspects, named as Mauricio C, 54, and Sandra O, 59, from Rosario in Argentina, had only met during the journey.

After hitting it off, they were spotted semi-nude in the executive section of the aircraft by a child, according to reports.

The young girl, who was travelling with a female passenger, immediately alerted a flight attendant who in turn informed the captain.

Crew members requested the initiation of criminal proceedings for exhibitionism before the plane was allowed to land at Rosario International Airport.

Upon touchdown, police officers boarded the aircraft and detained both passengers, preventing other travellers from disembarking until the situation was resolved.

They were taken to the local police station where they were photographed and fingerprinted.

They have been formally charged with public lewdness as the investigation continues.

The case is being handled by provincial authorities in Rosario, although officials have not ruled out a possible transfer of jurisdiction because the alleged act took place on an international flight.

According to reports, Mauricio works as an architect and railway construction site manager.

He is married with three children and lives in central Rosario, as reported by Need To Know.

Sandra owns a day centre and rehabilitation facility for elderly adults and is also based in the city centre.

Neither has made any public comment on the incident and no statements from the authorities have been released beyond confirmation of the detention and charges.
