A bungling reveller was caught on camera falling from a lamppost during World Cup celebrations.
Footage shows a grinning man wearing a Mexico football shirt and a sombrero climbing a historic streetlamp.
The lamp could be seen swaying precariously, with its bulbs flickering, as he scaled it above a sea of jubilant fans.

But as he stepped onto one of the bracket arms, two of the lamp heads suddenly gave way, sending him crashing to the ground in a shower of sparks.
One man in the crowd turned his head and burst into laughter as the mishap unfolded in Monterrey’s Macroplaza.
The footage was filmed after Mexico’s 2–0 victory over Ecuador in the World Cup Round of 32 on Tuesday (30 June) night.
Another clip from elsewhere in the square shows a woman meeting the same fate, as reported by Need To Know.
She slammed into the base of the structure after the bracket she was clinging to snapped, leaving her sprawled on her back.
Despite the dramatic falls, authorities reported no serious injuries, and it is not believed either of the pair required medical treatment.
One viewer commented: “What did he think was going to happen?”

Another added: “Poor lamppost.”
A third wrote: “If she walks again, God has given her a second chance. Her back hit the pointed part of that structure. She could have been left paralysed.”
