An influencer and her toddler daughter have tragically been found dead under rubble following the devastating earthquakes that struck northern Venezuela.
Barbara Celeste Vivas Carvallo and her three-year-old daughter Lucía Teresa Sardinha Vivas perished when their home in the town of Caraballeda, La Guaira State, was destroyed on 24 June.
The twin earthquakes – a 7.2-magnitude foreshock and a 7.5 mainshock – caused widespread destruction across northern Venezuela, killing nearly 3,000 people, injuring more than 16,000 and leaving tens of thousands missing.

The influencer’s husband and the girl’s father, content creator Víctor Sardinha, was also trapped under the rubble but survived after 36 hours.
He was rescued in a serious condition after nearly bleeding to death.
Víctor confirmed the deaths of his family on social media in an emotional tribute, saying everything happened very quickly.

He wrote that he managed to tell his wife and daughter “I love you with all my heart” as his last words to them.
Víctor believes his wife and daughter protected him, allowing him to survive.
He said they calmed him down during his ordeal and vowed that everything good he does from now on will carry a part of them, as reported by Need To Know.
The influencer, full name Barbara Celeste Vivas Carvallo, had 55,000 followers on Instagram at the time of her death.

She posted a Father’s Day tribute to her husband just days before the disaster, praising him as a devoted father.
Barbara shared lifestyle and motherhood content, often calling herself the “mamarazzi” of her daughter.
The 31-year-old graduated in international trade and ran her own marketing agency.
Víctor shared a final video of his daughter playing with her toys and an AI-generated family image featuring angel wings on his wife and child.
Rescue efforts continue amid aftershocks and the arrival of international aid to support search operations in the devastated region.
