Dozens of shops were swept away after raging floodwaters destroyed a municipal shopping complex.
The Sukhnag river burst through a shopping centre, causing panicked shoppers to flee.
The incident happened at the Beerwah Municipal Shopping Complex in Budgam district, central Kashmir, yesterday (21 July), after relentless rainfall caused water levels to surge.

The force of the swollen waterway swept away the complex, causing extensive damage to commercial property.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
Officials said advance warnings about the worsening weather allowed shopkeepers to vacate the building and remove their merchandise before the floodwaters engulfed the structure.
The incident came as heavy rain triggered widespread flooding across Budgam district, as reported by Need To Know.
Overflowing streams and flash floods inundated residential areas and disrupted normal life in several parts of the region.
The financial losses suffered by affected shopkeepers are still being evaluated.
Authorities have urged residents to stay away from rivers, and other flood-prone areas and to follow official weather advisories as heavy rainfall continues across parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
