A lucky pensioner escaped unscathed after a hurtling car missed him by a whisker.
CCTV footage shows the 74-year-old walking along the pavement, completely oblivious to the car speeding towards him from behind.
Just as he glanced over his shoulder, the out-of-control vehicle mounted the pavement and shot through the impossibly narrow gap between him and a parked car.

Carlos Alberto flinched before stopping to catch his breath.
Another pedestrian who witnessed the terrifying near miss raised his arms to the sky as if thanking God for the miraculous escape.
The incident happened in the Guaratiba neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Friday (24 July).
“It was a miracle,” Carlos’ sister told local media, adding that he escaped “without so much as a scratch”.
A few yards further on, the car crashed into another parked vehicle, as reported by Need To Know.
At the time of writing, there were no reports of any injuries.
It is still unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, and it is not yet known whether the incident was reported to police.
Guaratiba has long struggled with deteriorating roads, poor signage and rapid, unplanned urban growth that has left pedestrians increasingly exposed to traffic.
Carlos’ sister added: “He came home shaking, but smiling.
“He told us he still has a lot of living left to do.”
