An influencer has been arrested after a man claimed he was assaulted, robbed of a gold chain worth around £2,000 and thrown from a vehicle.
Nicolly Evangelista do Carmo was arrested at a luxury home in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Monday (3 August).
During the operation, officers seized a Hyundai Creta SUV, a Barbie-themed baseball bat, a telescopic baton, pepper spray and a knife from inside the vehicle.

The investigation began after a man told police he had arranged a paid sexual encounter but cancelled after realising the situation was different from what had been agreed.
According to his account, he was taken to the Hyundai, assaulted, robbed of a gold chain worth around 14,000 BRL (£2,000), and pushed out of the vehicle.
He later identified Nicolly, 34, from a photograph and recognised her social media profile.

Nicolly, known online as Nick Frazão, presents a glamorous lifestyle to her 104,000 followers.
Her posts show her posing in designer bikinis and accessories in the Maldives, in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and at luxury parties and VIP events.
She also hosts the popular PodTmais+ podcast, which describes itself as a space for “conversations that inspire, provoke and entertain”. One of its recurring segments is called “Spit or Swallow”.
It has since emerged that Nicolly has a criminal record dating back to 2011, as reported by Need To Know.
Over the past 15 years, she has been arrested or investigated over allegations including theft, involvement in a criminal gang, pimping and armed robbery involving a bladed weapon.

Her earliest police records date from before her transition, when she was known as Marlon Evangelista do Carmo.
One alleged victim, a 21-year-old student, required 100 stitches to wounds on his face, neck, abdomen and groin after trying to recover his stolen mobile phone.
Another complainant, who alleged Nicolly stalked, threatened and sprayed her in the eyes with pepper spray, told police Nicolly was known as the “boss of transgender prostitution” in Rio’s Campo Grande district.
Investigators are now trying to determine whether Nicolly was involved in other robberies with similar characteristics.
