A blundering motorist got into a tight spot after mistakenly driving onto a pedestrian footbridge – before needing a “15-point turn” to escape.
The red car was spotted crossing Glasgow’s Anderston Footbridge, which spans the busy M8 motorway and links the city centre with the West End.
An eyewitness watched as the driver entered the bridge from its eastern side and continued across.

But the motorist ran into trouble when they reached the tight, curved descent towards Argyle Street on the other side.
Unable to continue, the driver was forced to perform an awkward U-turn before snaking the car back to safety, as reported by Need To Know.
An eyewitness, who watched the bizarre drama unfold from an office window, claimed the motorist carried out a “15-point turn” to make their escape.
The car was reportedly stranded on the pedestrian bridge for around ten minutes.
The eyewitness said: “It gave us all a good laugh.”
The Anderston Footbridge was famously dubbed the ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ after construction began in the early 1970s but was halted in 1972 amid opposition.
For more than four decades, its western end was left hanging around 40ft in the air.
The notorious unfinished bridge was finally completed in 2013.
