A police officer leapt onto a runaway boat after its skipper accidentally fell into the sea.
The vessel was left circling out of control off L’Ametlla de Mar, Catalonia, Spain, on Sunday (6 September).
Maritime Police officers from the Mossos d’Esquadra raced to intercept the unmanned boat before it could cause a serious accident.

Dramatic footage released by the force shows officers carefully pulling alongside the runaway vessel in a semi-rigid inflatable boat.
One officer then makes a daring leap onto the moving craft.
He grabs hold of a rail before hauling himself aboard and taking control of the helm, as reported by Need To Know.
The Mossos described the officer’s actions as a “decisive manoeuvre”.
They said: “The Maritime Police managed to intercept and safely stop it, preventing potentially serious consequences.”
The boat had continued moving after its skipper fell into the water, leaving nobody at the controls.
Police have not released details about the skipper’s condition or confirmed whether anyone else had been on board.
The dramatic rescue took place off L’Ametlla de Mar, where the Maritime Police have a base at the local port.
