Shocking footage shows a man lying apparently unconscious as a group repeatedly attack him during the chaotic Misfits Boxing event.
The victim appears motionless on the floor while several men surround him and seemingly strike him around the head.
Horrified spectator Jamie McPake said he feared he was “going to witness a murder” as the violence unfolded on a balcony at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena.

The 22-year-old claimed the man was unable to respond or defend himself as he was allegedly elbowed in the back of the head.
The disturbance happened during a Misfits Boxing event headlined by the bitter grudge match between Jordan McCann and Charlie “Big Stacks” Cox on Saturday (12 Sep).
Footage circulating online also appears to show separate fights breaking out in the arena’s concourse and bar areas.
Jamie, from Redcar, North Yorkshire, told Need To Know: “I witnessed around five men involved in an attack on one man on the balcony.
“The man appeared to be unconscious and was not responding or defending himself while the others were attacking him.
“It happened very quickly and was quite distressing to witness.
“They elbowed him multiple times at the back of his head.
“I thought I was going to witness a murder.”
Jamie alleged security staff reached the area around five minutes later, by which point he said the man was already “out cold”.
He claimed members of the crowd had been shouting for assistance before security arrived.
Jamie said: “People were shouting at them loads in the audience, but they never attended until late.”

He also alleged there had been around 14 separate fights during the evening, although that figure has not been independently verified.
He claimed some people were knocked unconscious or taken to hospital.
However, police said no serious injuries had been reported to officers.
Jamie added: “I was worried for my safety.
“Me and my family left early due to the atmosphere.”
The event marked Misfits Boxing’s return to Newcastle and featured a 10-fight card combining professional fighters, influencers and reality television personalities.
Misfits, co-founded by YouTube star KSI, is known for staging crossover bouts between online personalities, celebrities and established combat sports competitors.
The main event saw Big Stacks defeat McCann by a technical knockout just 51 seconds into the second round.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: On Saturday (September 12), we were made aware of disturbances at a boxing event in Newcastle city centre.
“Our officers attended and arrested four individuals on suspicion of assault. No serious injuries were reported to us.
“Those arrested have since been released with no further action.
“Our investigation is very much ongoing to identify all of those involved.
“Violence and disorder have no place in our communities, and we will continue to do all we can to locate those responsible and bring them to justice.
“We’d ask anyone with information that could assist our enquires to come forward.
