A 35-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing several women in the eyes outside a hotpot restaurant.
According to reports, the attacker randomly targeted passers-by with a knife.
The horror unfolded near Guangzhou University Town, China, yesterday afternoon (14 September), leaving several people injured.

One witness told local media the attacker was “specifically stabbing people in the eyes”, as reported by Need To Know.
Shocking images from the scene show multiple people injured.
The victims all appear to be women, with their injuries concentrated around their faces.
One elderly woman was pictured with a knife sticking out of her face, with her clothes covered in blood.

Police arrived at the scene, arrested the suspect, identified only as Li, and arranged for the injured to be taken to hospital.
All received treatment and none were left in a life-threatening condition.
The Panyu Branch of the Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau said in a statement on Monday: “At around 5.20pm on 14 September 2026, Guangzhou police received a report that a man was attacking people with a knife outside a hotpot restaurant on Xiaoguwei Street in Panyu District.
“After receiving the report, police officers quickly arrived at the scene, arranged for the injured to be taken to hospital for treatment and arrested the suspect, identified as Li, a 35-year-old man.
“None of the injured victims were in life-threatening condition after receiving treatment.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
