A much-loved soap actress has died after a long battle with illness.
Katarzyna Zaczek, who was also a lawyer and a local councillor, passed away aged 34.
City hall confirmed she had been fighting a serious disease.

The news was posted by the city council in Bydgoszcz, Poland, on Wednesday (23 Sep).
Zaczek had sat on the council since 2024.
She was elected in 2024 for a local conservative group and later sat as an independent.
Zaczek represented an eastern district of the city and sat on petitions and public-order committees.
She trained as a lawyer and had worked as a television reporter in the city, as reported by Need To Know.
She also acted in the soap Barwy Szczęścia, or Colours of Happiness.
Other credits included The Crown of Kings, Invisible War, Love Has Four Paws and The Forester’s Lodge.
Radio PiK said she died in Warsaw after a long chronic illness.
The exact condition has not been named.
Earlier this year, she wrote from hospital: “Dear friends, some of you know that for a year my work as a councillor has been interrupted by hospital stays.
“That is the case this time as well.
“The March session may pass me by, but I learned today that this setback may end soon and I will be able to fully return to my duties.”
She added: “It is a matter of time and patience.”
Bydgoszcz City Council said: “It is with enormous sadness that we received the news of the death of our councillor Katarzyna Zaczek.
“Katarzyna Zaczek died at the age of 34 after a long and severe illness.
“To her family, loved ones and friends we offer our deepest sympathy and we share their pain.”
MP Łukasz Schreiber wrote: “Very sad news.
“She involved herself in public affairs and wanted to change the world for the better.
“The illness and death came far too soon.”
Funeral details have not yet been released.
