A tourist was rescued after falling from a cliff into a notorious blowhole as huge waves crashed over the rocks.
The person was knocked off the cliff at Poll na bPéist – known as the Wormhole.
Rescuers battled insane waves to get to him on Inis Mór off the coast of Galway.

They managed to secure a rope around him in the tempest shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday.
A rescue helicopter winchman was lowered to the casualty before lifting him to safety.
The person was then taken to Galway University Hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for Rescue 118 helicopter said: “We were tasked to Wormhole on Inishmore for a person knocked off the cliff.
“Aran Fire and Rescue had located and managed to get a rope around the casualty.
“Once on scene, Rescue 118 lowered their winchman to the casualty and, during a difficult lift, recovered to the aircraft for treatment and transfer to UHG.”
The Coast Guard said the rescue was carried out “in very challenging conditions”.
The Wormhole is a natural square-shaped tidal pool and popular tourist attraction on the Wild Atlantic Way, where a hole in the ground connects to a cave opening into the sea.
The person is understood to be recovering well after the fall.
