The family of a ‘kind, devoted’ mum who was murdered at home in the UK are pleading to get her body back to Poland for the funeral.
Anna Zukowska was sadly found dead in her own house with a man charged with her murder.
The mother, originally from Poland, had built a life in the UK – which was cut short on 6 Sep, as reported by Need To Know.

She was found at her home on James Close, Ollerton, Newark.
Shortly after the discovery Jozef Zbigniew Oleszek was arrested and then charged with her murder on 9 Sep.
Now her son Marcin Żukowski has started a fundraiser in order to bring her back home for the funeral.

The page has already received thousands of donations despite only launching on 28 Sep.
The goal was set at £6,856 (35,000 Polish Zlotys).
Marcin said: “Mom passed away thousands of kilometers from her home country.
“We want her to return to Poland – home, to her loved ones, and to the people who adored her.
“We want to be able to say a dignified farewell and lay her to rest here, surrounded by family.
“Unfortunately, bringing Mom back from the UK entails very high costs.
“On top of that, there are expenses for formalities, transport, the funeral, and all the other costs arising from this unimaginable tragedy.

“We cannot cover these costs on our own.
“That is why, for the first time, we must ask for help from people we may not even know.
“We were not prepared for what has befallen our family.
“No one is ever prepared for the death of a mother – especially not for such a brutal passing, far from home and in a foreign country.
“She had plans. She had dreams. She still had so much life ahead of her.
“Tragically, however, her life was brutally cut short at her home in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, in the UK.”
