A drifter who claimed he was on fire was caught panicking on camera after his Corvette filled up with smoke as he told his girlfriend to jump out of the moving car.

The driver was testing out his drifting skills on the track when suddenly his Corvette began smoking.

The shocking footage was captured on 26 Sep, as reported by Need To Know.
Witcher had his girlfriend in the passenger seat when the vehicle caught fire – repeatedly telling her to jump out of the car whilst it was moving.
His partner can be seen leaping out of the car, before rolling onto the track.
Witcher then screamed out for help from other motorists and spectators on the track, claiming ‘I’m on fire’.
Witcher said: “Oh no, no…I didn’t know I was overheating.
“Get out, get out, hurry up, get out.
“I’m on fire.”
A dashcam managed to capture the crazy moment where smoke started flooding out of the Corvette before flames appeared from the bonnet.
Witcher said: “I pushed the car too hard, which caused me to throw a rod through the side of the block and cause a pretty big oil fire from being on my hot exhaust system.
“I’ve never been on fire, so yes, I did panic, but the main question I’ve gotten is why not stop?
“Fire and EMS were ahead, and I didn’t want my car to burn to the ground and I knew the car wasn’t gonna explode, but me panicking telling her to get out, she was also scared and jumped out but I stayed in to get the car to a safe distance from everyone but also close enough for people with fire extinguishers.
“This was a test run, as I just installed an angle kit a couple of days before, so I don’t have it track-built, but I had a fire extinguisher in my Seat Time e36, I just haven’t added one to this car.
“We live, and we learn. You will see this car running again soon.”
The video, filmed in the US, gained over 1.8m views with members of the public left shocked by the clip.
One person wrote: “Nah the panic was definitely needed, glad you good.”

Another one added: “Damn, I hope everyone is safe man.”
One other commented: “She hopped out with no hesitation – we need more people like her.”
Another viewer said: “She was getting out before he said something. The flames was all she needed to see.”
One wrote: “She said peace out.”
